What is Reiki:
Reiki is a Japanese word, "Rei" meaning Universe, and "Ki" meaning Energy.
Reiki is an ancient form of hands-on energy healing that was rediscovered in the nineteenth century by Dr. Mikao Usui.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing for the person receiving the treatment.
It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Reiki gently balances the chakras and energy field that surrounds the body as well as soothing physical and emotional complaints.
A gentle therapy, Reiki is excellent for:
- Alleviating persisting pain or discomfort from illness, injury, disease, trauma or stress
- Increasing energy levels that are depleted from illness, injury, trauma or life change
- Creating harmony and balance in the body, mind and spirit

Let Animals Lead® Animal Reiki training is rooted in meditation, ethics, and true respect for animal agency.
Taught by Certified Teacher, Yvonne Uttley of BackToHerWings. This course is designed to honour animals as conscious teachers and partners. This is a path where healing unfolds through presence — not pressure — and where your practice is grounded in compassion, clarity, and deep listening.
This is not about techniques to fix animals. It’s about becoming a calm, grounded, compassionate presence they choose to trust.

What you’ll learn in Level 1 of Let Animals Lead® Animal Reiki:
• How and why the Let Animals Lead® method of Animal Reiki is different than traditional human Reiki and other Animal Reiki methods, how and why it evolved, and why these differences make it the best and most ethical practice Animal Reiki method in existence.
• Traditional Shoden (Level 1) Japanese Reiki practices and how to modify them so that animals are given the choice whether they want to step into the healing space and lead the meditation sessions.
• When and how to ethically use physical contact during an Animal Reiki session, as well as hands-on protocol for humans.
• The importance of seeing the animal’s perfection (and not what’s “wrong” with it or what has happened to it in the past) during Animal Reiki sessions, and why this shift in view is pivotal in developing trusting connections between you and animals.
• The 3 energy centres and how to develop them to ensure gentle, animal-led meditations.
• An overview of the Animal Reiki Practitioner Code of Ethics and why these ethics are a crucial foundation to your practice.
• The difference between holding space for an animal and “doing” an energy treatment “to” an animal, and why this distinction matters.

Requirements to take this Animal Reiki certification course:
• Students will need to participate in all 3 days in person.
• Students must turn in homework assignments and be ready to discuss with the class the following scheduled class date.
• Students must have animals to practice with daily. A variety of animals is preferable (ask neighbours and friends to support you!), but 1 or 2 of your own, at the very minimum, is needed.
• Students must commit to 10–20 minutes/day minimum of daily meditation practice during the course. The main purpose of this requirement is to help you experience the teachings in a personal way, thus giving you the foundation you need to build a lifelong Animal Reiki practice. With dedication and commitment, Animal Reiki can heal and transform your life, as well as the lives of the animals you love!

Level 3 Master Usui/Reiki Certification with Bonus Violet Flame Master

Please join me for Level 3 (Master) Usui Reiki. I am a Reiki Master taught by Diane Stein author of Essential Reiki and am also certified in Usui, Karuna, and Violet Flame as a Master and Level 3 Let Animals Lead Practitioner.
I am a certified teacher with the Canadian Reiki Association, and my classes are also accredited by the Certified Registered Massage Therapist Association (CRMTA) and Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC) for Continuing Education Credits.
When I teach, we explore and my sacred space becomes yours for 2 days to use your intuition and use whatever speaks to you. This is a safe place with no judgement.
Class will run from 10AM-5PM both days.
Must provide Reiki Level 2 Certificate if you have not completed with me.
